Strawberry Syrup

1 pint (2 cups) fresh strawberries, halved
3/4 cup sugar
2 T corn syrup
1 1/2 tsp lemon juice
1/2 tsp butter or margarine

Place strawberries in a blender and process until smooth.  Transfer to a sauce pan and add remaining ingredients.  Bring to a boil and stir for 1 minute.  Skim off foam.  Yield 1 1/2 cups.  I make a lot of this and freeze it.
