The nap did win but the walk did not lose. After dinner, my wife will sometimes wander out with me to take a short walk. She graced me with her walking presence again this evening.  As walks go, it was largely uneventful. I usually go thru a litany of things on my “to do” list. In some cases, this might be her only opportunity to veto any actions I may have planned. While discussing the activities related to the kids outside of the house gives us some level of privacy, there is not much we won’t discuss in front of the kids. And, the pace and distance are shorter on these post-dinner walks. With a trip planned this summer with walking being central to its enjoyment, these walks are certainly encouraged.
