The Carwash Begins

Since closing on the land for the car wash nearly 2 weeks ago, the pace has not slowed down. Buying land is only part of the journey. Now, it is all about providing paperwork to the bank to get the loan approved. As CPO (No it is not C3-PO. I am the Chief Paperwork Officer), I am scanning and uploading all sorts of signed documents to the bank. As CPO, it is my job to get Stampede Carwash approved for its loan.

While grateful for the pace we are able to move forward with the car wash now, it was not an overnight process. We first saw the piece of land we purchased over 9 months ago. The owner was concerned about a carwash being built and the impact it would have on the property he owned next door. We attempted to build relationships with a couple of different realtors. And, we found out patience can work in your favor. Other towns and other locations did not cause us to waver. As long as THIS lot was available, we held out hope that it could be ours.

We are grateful to have the present lot. Other lots might have technically worked out, but they would not have offered us the traffic available with this lot. We believe we have purchased the best available lot at the best available price in a town that allows us to test out the concepts my partner has developed through many years in the industry. Are we guaranteed success? No, but we will all be surprised if we don’t have enough success to try and do it again on another lot in another town.
